DIY Crib Bumper

2. Cut: Cut your fabric or crib bumper pads into rectangular pieces according to the measurements obtained in the previous step. It is recommended to have two long panels for the sides of the crib and two shorter panels for the ends of the crib.
3. Attach: Place two fabric pieces together, with the desired pattern facing inward. Secure them with pins or clips along the edges to keep them in place while sewing.
4. Sew: Using a sewing machine or needle and thread, carefully sew along the edges, leaving one side open for inserting the crib pad. Repeat this step for all the fabric pieces.
5. Insert: Turn the fabric right-side-out, creating a neat and finished look. Insert the crib pads into the fabric through the open side, ensuring they fit securely.
6. Close: Sew the open side of each fabric piece, ensuring the crib pads remain securely enclosed.
7. Attach Ties or Elastic: Cut several pieces of elastic or ribbons, around 6-8 inches each. Sew them to the corners and edges of the crib bumper for attaching it to the crib securely. These ties will help prevent the bumper from shifting or falling.
8. Test: Before placing the finished DIY crib bumper into the crib, ensure it fits snugly and securely without any loose threads or materials that might pose a risk to your baby.
