Ask me about:
For most rotary (motorized) mowers, I recommend sharpening the blades every 20-25 hours. For a lawn that takes about 45 minutes to mow, that means you should sharpen your mower blades every 26-33 mowing sessions.
It's easy when you know what you're doing!
Sharpen the blade twice each season to help maintain a green, healthy lawn. A sharp blade not only cuts blades clean so grass plants recover quickly, it helps reduce your lawn mowing time.
When cleaning an electric mower do not use a hose or a pressure washer. Water can get inside the motors and cause corrosion. You will need to remove the blade from the mowers. A bench grinder gives the best edge, but there is also a special hand tool designed for sharpening lawn mower blades.
The motor is the powerhouse of the mower which is responsible for rotating the blades. Electric lawnmowers may cut out for two main reasons: A faulty power switch or a loose cable connection. An overheating motor can cause the thermal cut out to trip.
Depending on the product you purchase, your electric mower battery should last up to an hour before needing to be recharged. The lifetime of an electric mower can last up to 10 years, while the lifetime of its battery is about 5 years. Using an electric mower can be useful when it comes to cost and efficiency.
The circuit breaker may have tripped.
Make sure the gas lawn mower's engine is stopped, remove the Electric Start Key and disconnect spark plug boot. Then check around the blade and clear any debris that may be blocking it. Wait 30 seconds so the breaker can self-reset, then try restarting.
