I have used manual razors (Mach 3) in the shower (no mirror) for as long as I have been shaving. I have coarse hair which makes any type of shaving difficult. Keep my bias in mind for this review.
Battery Life [GREAT]: Full Charge states 84 minutes. I have used it 6 times and the indicator is at 57 minutes (still on initial charge). With a two year manufacturer warranty I would hope any battery issues which occur in that time frame would be rectified.
Shave Quality/Experience [GOOD]: This device does a great job on my face. It doesn't do a perfect job under my chin, though this is an issue I have with manual razors as well. It is easy to clean by opening the top and running water over it. I successfully used it in the shower as well (good waterproofing). The carrying case is nice and a good way to store the device while not in use. I would recommend drying it out on a towel with the top open after use, though I am not sure if it is required.
Trimming Feature [GREAT]: The trimming feature successfully cut off some thicker hair on other parts of my body. I imagine it could be used to thin out facial hair before using the razor if it has been awhile since the last shave occurred. I also used it on some hair coming out of my ears and it worked well enough.
Shaving Cream: Using this device with shaving cream seemed to increase the quality of the shave. I recommend using shaving cream/conditioner during use. That being said, it worked OK dry with no shaving cream as well.
Word of Caution: Do not use anywhere other than your face. I attempted to shave my armpits and ended up with an uncomfortable burning sensation for the remainder of the day. It will not function well if hair has grown for more than a week or so. The device will end up grabbing instead of cutting, which can hurt.
Conclusion: At this time, it is not likely I will switch to an electric razor. I like shaving my armpit hair the same time I shave my facial hair. Sometimes I will go 1.5-2 weeks without shaving, which requires the use of either a manual razor or clippers. That being said, this is a good economical electric razor for people who prefer this style.

A Good Shaver ... if You Can Live with Its Design Flaws
For the past 25 years I've used nothing but Norelco/Philips shavers. My last one---a Norelco Acquatec model AT830--- is now 7 years old and still working great. Here are the pros & cos of this Flyco FS378US shaver:PROS:1. The Flyco shaver came in very nice high-end packaging. The small use & care instruction booklet is impressively nice and clear (unlike most other made-in-China products). So, a great start. :-)2. Build Quality & Features: the Flyco shaver looks very well built and has a very good weight and feel. LED intelligent features (e.g., time-left read out, reminders, travel lock) are all wonderful.3. The shaver comes with a very nice semi-hard case, a USB plug with standard US adapter, a cleaning brush, and a protective head cover.4. I like the fact that replacement cutting heads are available on Amazon at a reasonable cost ($11 for a set of 3).CONS:The Flyco shaver has some significant design flaws when compared to equivalent Norelco shavers:1. Shave Quality: the motor seems a bit weak. The shaver does an ok job, but not as good as a Norelco in terms of closeness and comfort.2. The trimmer on the side is much too short to be useful. See how poorly it compares with the Norelco shaver in the attached picture. This is a serious flaw and I would have returned the unit if I didn't have a nice Norelco trimmer set!3. Gap between the edge of the cutters and the edge of the head housing is too wide (see the attached picture), making it difficult to shave the area under your nose. So, you need a little muscle stretching of your upper lip to get a full shave.These flaws are what differentiate well-designed mature electric shavers, like Norelco's, from these unknown Chinese brands. These "design flaws" tell me that the Flyco shaver didn't go through much user testing.Bottom line: the shaver works 'well enough' and (at ~$40) costs much less than equivalent Norelco shavers. But you must be willing to live with its design flaws.
