Possible Solutions

Reset power to the product:

The appliance could not connect to the router. There may a problem with the Wi-Fimodule due to connection time out, poor signal strength,a failed router, the Wi-Fi Module in the appliance, or the associated wiring.


  • Power appliance down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power appliance up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the appliance for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify appliance operation.

Re-set your wireless router.

There is no link between the the Wi-FiModule and the wireless router.

Reset your wireless router.

Does another Wi-Fi capable device operate correctly?

Is your smart phone, or tablet operating correctly?


  • Take your smart device to the appliance location to verify operation.

If yes, disconnect power from router for 2 minutes, then re-connect power to router, then disconnect power to the appliance for 2 minutes, and reconnect.


If you are not receiving a strong wireless signal (don't have full bars):

  • Ifyou are not receiving a strong wireless signal, there are a few things you can try:
  • Move your router to a different location in your home
  • Obtain a compatible signal extender, or

In order to register your appliance, yourSmartphone or Tablet must be connected to the internet.To test your connection, try opening an internet browser and navigating to any website.If you are unable to connect to the website, your internet service might be unavailable and you will need to check with your internet service provider.

Do you have a firewall or any other network equipment installed?

If you have a firewall or other network equipmentinstalled on your home network, it may prevent the appliance from properly connecting to the internet. Ifthe appliance is unable to connect to the internet, you won't be able to successfully register it.

Is the appliance connected to the home network?

Before you can complete the registration process, the appliance must be connected to the home network.If you need help connecting your appliance to your home network or router, please see the "Unable to Connect" section of this troubleshooting guide.

Was the appliance previously owned?

The control has been placed in demonstration mode

IMPORTANT:This feature is intended for use on the sales floorwith 120 V power connection and permits the control features to bedemonstrated without the oventurning on. If this feature isactivated, the oven will not work.


  1. Press SETTINGS/CLOCK until “DEMO MODE” is displayed.
  2. The current setting will be displayed.
  3. Press the “1” keypadto adjust the setting.
  4. Press START or CANCEL to exit and display the time of day.

Energy Save is active (some models)

The product isin Energy Save mode.

The Energy Save feature places the control and clock into a sleepmode that reduces power consumption by deactivating the displaywhen the product is notbeing used.

If Energy Save mode is activated, each time the product is idle for5 minutes with only the time of day shown, the display will showthe letters “ES” followed by “On” twice. The display will then beblank until a control key (e.g. Bake or Broil)is pressed or the oven door is opened. Thecontrol will then perform any of its operations in response toadditional key presses.


Typical operation of the Energy Save function

To enter the Energy Save mode:


  • The oven and control must be idlewith the time of day shown on the display.
  • Press and hold CLOCKfor 10 seconds. The control will beep, and the display will show theletters “ES” followed by “On” twice. The display will return to thetime of day.

To exit Energy Save mode:


  • Press and hold the CLOCK key for10 seconds. The control will beep, and the display will show theletters “ES” followed by “Off” twice. The displaywill return to thetime of day.
  • Press any key on the control to display the Time of Day.

Possible Solutions

This is anerror code that will appear when the electronic oven controlcan not recognize what type ofproblem has occurred.

There may be a problem with a component of the oven control system, the Electronic Control,or the associated wiring.


  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the ovenfor one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify ovenoperation.


F9 or F9 E0 - Electric Range

Possible Solutions

Reset power to the product:

This code will most often indicate that the appliance is wired incorrectly at the home electrical supply, or at the hard wire connection.


  • If your oven was installed recently (within approximately 3 months),contact a qualified electrician to verify the electrical supply.

During a power outage, if there was an unexpected amount of power supply line "noise" that the control detected as an incorrect voltage amount, the control could display the F9, F9 E0 or PF Error Code.Also, if any keys were pressed before the 10 second delay interval on power up, this could cause the F9, F9 E0 or PF to appear.


  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the ovenfor one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify ovenoperation.


Feature Not Available or Fault Detected

Possible Solutions

Follow the displayed directions “PRESS ENTER TO TRY AGAIN” or “DISABLE POWER TO CLEAR.”

This message will scroll across the display when a fault is detected while you are programming a cook cycle.

Reset power to the product:

  • Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Start a bake cycle.
  • Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify oven operation.


Flashing Time, Clock, 12:00, Power Loss or Enter Time - Electric Range

Possible Solutions

Set the Time

When power is first supplied to the oven, after a power interruptionor failure, the "Time", or “12:00”, or “POWER LOSS” will be displayed.


  • PressCANCELto clear the display.
  • Set time of day.


Locked, Lock or Loc - Electric Range

Possible Solutions

Unlock the Oven Control and Oven Door

  • The lock feature shuts down the control pads (buttons) and locks the oven door to avoid unintended use of the oven.
  • The lock feature is preset unlocked, but can be locked.
  • If the oven is currently in use, the controls and oven door cannot be locked.

Possible Solutions

Cancel Sabbath Mode

The oven may be in Sabbath Mode. Sabbath Mode is used to configure the oven system so that certain features and modes are disabled or defeatured.

Refer to your Use and Care Guide for specific instructions to enable or disable the Sabbath Mode.

Disable Energy Save mode (select models)

If the range is in Energy Save mode (select models), the display will be blank when not in use.

The Energy Save mode puts the range into sleep mode and reduces energy consumption.

To Deactivate the Energy Save Mode:


  1. Press and hold SETTINGS/CLOCK for 3 seconds."Energy saver off" will appear in the display.
  2. The clock will reappear in the display and the range can be operated as usual.

To Activate the Energy Save Mode:


  1. Press and hold SETTINGS/CLOCK for 3 seconds."Energy saver on" will appear in the display.
  2. The setting will be activated after 5 minutes.

Verify meat probe is fully inserted in the meat probe jack.

The Control is "looking" for an input from the Meat Probe.

Insert Temperature Probe into food.The probe should be inserted into the center of the fleshy or thickest part of the food. If cooking meats with a bone, avoidinserting theprobe too close to the bone, as it might result in unfavorable cooking results.

Verify Meat Probe is fully inserted in Probe Jack / Receptacle.

Sabbath, Sab, 5Ab, or 5A7- Electric Range

Possible Solutions

Cancel Sabbath Mode

The Sabbath Mode is enabled. Sabbath Mode sets the oven to remain on in a Bake setting until turned off.


  • When the Sabbath Mode is set, only the Bake cycle will operate.
  • All other cooking and cleaning cycles are disabled.
  • No tones will sound, and the display(s) will not indicate temperature changes.
  • When the oven door is opened or closed, the oven light will not turn on or off and the heating elements will not turn on or off immediately.

Below is a list of modes or features disabled while in SabbathMode:


  • 12 Hour Shutoff
  • All tones and chimes
  • All cooking and cleaning modes except for Bake (main cavity and warming drawer).
  • Timers
  • Cooktop Lockout (if applicable)

  • Warming Zone ON/Off (Select Models)

Possible Solutions

Reset power to the product:

The appliance could not connect to the router. There may a problem with the due to connection time out, poor signal strength,a failed router, the Wi-Fi Module in the appliance, or the associated wiring.


  • Power appliance down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
  • Power appliance up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
  • Monitor the appliance for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
  • Verify appliance operation.

Re-set your wireless router.

There is no link between the the Wi-FiModule and the wireless router.

Reset your wireless router.

Does another Wi-Fi capable device operate correctly?

Is your smart phone, or tablet operating correctly?


  • Take your smart device to the appliance location to verify operation.

If yes, disconnect power from router for 2 minutes, then re-connect power to router, then disconnect power to the appliance for 2 minutes, and reconnect.


If you are not receiving a strong wireless signal (don't have full bars):

  • Ifyou are not receiving a strong wireless signal, there are a few things you can try:
  • Move your router to a different location in your home
  • Obtain a compatible signal extender, or
  • Contact your Internet Service Provider

Was the SAID number entered correctly?

If the SAID number was entered incorrectly, the "Registration Error" will appear. Try entering the number again. If you need help locating the SAID number, please see the "SAID Location" section of this troubleshooting guide.

At the beginning of the registration process, the appliance type and model number needs to be selected.If the wrong appliance type or model number was selected, the "Registration Error" will appear.
